The townspeople are also suspicious of the new Jack. They believe that he is an imposter who has taken Sommersby’s identity. They are especially suspicious of the fact that Jack cannot remember many details about his time away.

One day, a mysterious stranger arrives in town, claiming to be the real Jack Sommersby. The stranger can provide some details about Jack’s past that the new Jack cannot remember. The townspeople are convinced that the stranger is the real Jack, and they turn against the new Jack.

Laurel is torn between the two men. She loves the new Jack, but she also believes that the stranger is the real Jack. In the end, she decides to follow her heart and stay with the new Jack.

However, Laurel soon begins to suspect that the man who has returned is not her husband.

8. Autumn in New York (2000)

Autumn in New York is a romantic drama that explores love, loss, and redemption. It’s beautifully shot, and the performances by Richard Gere and Winona Ryder are both moving and heartbreaking.
