to kill Julian, but Mary Louise helped Julian hold Damon and Valerie captive. Unknown to Lily, Mary Louise severed the link between Lily and Julian who had already run away.
Lily staked herself so she could kill Julian as well. So Lily started to die alone, and Julian ran away. Everyone was in tears as they said their goodbyes. Lily was later buried near the Salvatore family plot.
