Beetlejuice 2 officially announced by Warner Bros. After years of speculation, Warner Bros. has finally announced that a sequel to the 1988 cult classic Beetlejuice is officially in the works. 

The film will be directed by Tim Burton, who also directed the original film, and will star Michael Keaton as the titular character. Winona Ryder, who played Lydia Deetz in the first film, is also set to return.

Beetlejuice 2 

The plot of Beetlejuice 2 is still under wraps, but it is said to pick up 30 years after the events of the first film. Lydia is now an adult with a child of her own, and she must once again enlist the help of Beetlejuice to help her with a supernatural problem.

Besides Keaton and Ryder, the cast of Beetlejuice 2 will also include Jenna Ortega, Catherine O’Hara, Monica Bellucci, and Willem Dafoe. Ortega will play the character of Lydia’s daughter, while O’Hara and Bellucci will have new roles. Dafoe is set to reprise his role as the demon Betelgeuse.

Beetlejuice 2 is scheduled to begin production in London in the spring of 2023. It is expected to be released by Warner Bros in theaters on September 6, 2024.

In 2019, Burton was announced as the director of Beetlejuice 2 and that Keaton would be reprising his role as Beetlejuice. Ryder was also confirmed to be returning as Lydia Deetz.

With Beetlejuice 2 finally moving forward, fans of the original film are eagerly awaiting its release. The film has the potential to be a huge success, and it could help to revive the Beetlejuice franchise.
