Marvel Launches ASL
In a move that has been praised by the deaf community, Disney+ has added an American Sign Language (ASL) viewing option to Marvel Studios‘ Ant-Man. The new option, which was launched on April 14, 2023, in time for National American Sign Language (ASL) Day, allows deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers to enjoy the film without missing a beat.
The ASL option is available on all Disney+ devices, and can be accessed by selecting the “Extras” tab on the Ant-Man page. The ASL interpreter is positioned in the bottom right corner of the screen, and signs all of the dialogue in real time.
