See You on Venus Review
See You on Venus Plot
See You on Venus is a story of Mia (Virginia Gardner) and Kyle (Alex Aiono) who go on an adventure to Spain to find Mia’s birth mother. Mia grew up in the foster system so she doesn’t know about her family. However, she had made up her mind to find her mother.
Even though Mia always had a foster family and she lives happily with them, she doesn’t know anything at all about her biological family. The only thing she remembers them with is a necklace and a birth certificate.
However, Mia’s health complication limits her plans hence the reason she is determined to find her real family.
On the other hand, Kyle was involved in a tragic accident where his friend was seriously injured and he is trying to overcome his grief. To help him recover, a trip to Spain was arranged for him.
Mia and Kia did not know each other before embarking on the trip, but their time together during the trip is what sets the plot of See You on Venus.
Is See You on Venus Like Other Romance Films?
At first, See You on Venus may appear to be similar to other YA romance films about two teens who fall in love. But, the love story is deeply rooted in the connection that two people who are mostly Beth lonely have. And just so you know, their loneliness is a result of school bullying or a new environment.
See You in Venus is a very heartfelt film about having a change of heart when plans and desires don’t go as planned. Mia and Kyle have to understand that their past shouldn’t influence their future.

Gardner and Aiono
Virginia Gardner and Alex Aiono give two emotionally raw and powerful performances in See You on Venus.
Gardner brings a great deal of depth and nuance to her performance. She captures Mia’s fear, anger, sadness, and hope with equal measure. She is also very believable as a young woman who is dying. She conveys Mia’s physical weakness and her emotional fragility with sensitivity and grace.
Aiono is also very good in his role as Kyle. He brings a lot of heart and soul to the character. He is believable as a young man who is struggling to cope with the death of his father. He also has great chemistry with Gardner, and their scenes together are some of the most touching in the film.
The emotional performances of Gardner and Aiono are one of the strengths of See You on Venus. They help to make the film feel real and emotionally resonant. Without their strong performances, the film would not be as effective.
