Noah Wolfson is a former diamond dealer who returns to Antwerp after his brother’s suicide. He is determined to clear his brother’s name and save the family business, but he soon finds himself embroiled in a world of crime and corruption.

It’s an eight-episode series about the Hasidic Wolfson clan after Yanki, the youngest son, plans to kill himself because of the terrible financial consequences that were a result of his decisions on the family’s diamond business.

After staying in London for fifteen years, the main character Noah returns with his young son Tommy to Antwerp, Belgium, to fix his deceased brother’s mistakes and bring respect back to the Wolfson Diamonds name.

Eli, along with his brother and sister Adina will have to face dominant demands from the Albanian mob and increasing pressure from an ongoing undercover police investigation. At the same time, they have to work together against traitors who were once close to them.

Rough Diamonds is a well-made and suspenseful crime drama that offers a unique glimpse into the Orthodox Jewish community. The series is beautifully shot and features strong performances from the cast. Kevin Janssens is particularly good as Noah Wolfson, bringing a sense of both vulnerability and strength to the role.
